022 — Why Relying On Your Feelings Will Disappoint You
Friday Feb 28, 2020
Friday Feb 28, 2020
Welcome to the I Love Ugly Audio Show my names Valentin Ozich Creative Director and Founder of I Love Ugly. It's been a little while since we've put out any articles or podcasts and there's a reason for it: We just didn't feel like it. It's a shit reason but it's the truth.
Unfortunately, using our feelings as the ultimate measure for whether or not we should do something, isn't a wise move. If we obeyed every feeling we've ever had, we'd be in a pretty terrible state. Yes, feelings are useful as warning signs and indicators that help guide us through life. But the key is to listen and observe them, but not necessarily obey them every time they speak.
This podcast explores the ups and downs of feelings and why you cannot always rely on them. It is only an 18 minute listen, so get stuck in or save it for later and, when you're done, jump in the comments/reviews and let us know your thoughts.
Enjoy the episode.

We want to help you identify and define what your ‘why’ is for 2020. Because the stronger your ‘why’ the easier your ‘how’ becomes. Now grab some paper and a get pen because you’re going to need it for this one. Enjoy the episode.

Frasers life mission is one of the most ambitious and inspiring projects we have come across.

019 — A Quick Thank You For 2019 From Our Founder
Sunday Dec 22, 2019
Sunday Dec 22, 2019
To our loyal followers,
2019 was one hell of a year. We released 12 collections. Over 300 different garments. 19 podcast episodes. 8 articles on how to be a better person. Over 500 individual Instagram posts. A 10th-anniversary collection. An art collection. A personal development art print collection. Over 45 videos. And serviced 1000s of different people.
This business is nonstop. The creative expectation and innovation required to stay afloat is relentless. To know people still have love for what we do 10 years after starting this brand from our founder’s bedroom is humbling. It inspires us to keep on doing what we are doing, but on the same token, it forces us to keep raising the bar. Every day. April 2017 this thing nearly folded. December 2019 we are stronger than ever.
We aim to be 1% better every single day because we know that’s the only way moving forward.
Thank you for your support this year. Thank you for spending your hard-earned money with us. For trusting us. For telling other people about us. For consuming our content. We know there are a million other options out there. It means the world to us. Have a great Christmas and a safe new year and see you all in 2020.
From the team at I Love Ugly.

018 — Start To Finish: How We Design And Market Our Products
Sunday Dec 22, 2019

A lot of people asked for it, so we did it. In this episode, our digital director Will goes deep with our Creative Director V on the inner workings of how our clothing collections are put together.
From the budgets and range planning all the way to marketing. This gives you an insight into the depths we go to put each garment together, which you probably weren't aware of. From how we chose the fabrics, how we pick the trends, how we decide which garments to cut in the sampling stage, and how we bring the clothes to market.
For all those in the industry or those that are interested in the behind the scenes of how a fashion brand works, you will find a lot of value and enjoyment in this episode. Enjoy.

017 — What To Do When You're Having A Really Shitty Day
Thursday Dec 12, 2019
Thursday Dec 12, 2019
This episode is designed for those that are having a shitty day. We all have them, but unfortunately, not all of us have the tools and tactics to get out of them. This is based off an article I wrote a few weeks back which got some great feedback. I was having a really tough week and an especially bad day when I wrote this, which makes it that much more real. I would highly recommend doing the tasks to get the most out of it.

016 — A Conversation with Dr. Paul Wood
Thursday Nov 28, 2019
Thursday Nov 28, 2019
On this episode I sit down with motivational speaker and personal development specialist, Dr Paul Wood.
Dr Paul Woods story is one of the most interesting I have come across in a while. At just 18 years old, Paul went to prison and his life was off the rails. By his release in 2006, he had attained an undergraduate degree in psychology and philosophy, a master’s degree in psychology, and was two years into his Ph.D. Paul uses his journey to illustrate the process of change and how we can have lives of great meaning and purpose despite the circumstances and despite the environment.
He’s now an expert in helping people overcome their own barriers and become the best version of themselves and recently released his book which I highly recommend called: How To Escape From Prison.
In this episode Paul gives us advice on managing unpleasant emotional thoughts, the power of creating habits, and how it’s never too late to redirect yourself in life. Like all my guests, I like to go deep and extract as much value as I can, and this episode is no different. There’s some golden nuggets in here, I also ask him some questions that would make some of you uneasy. Enjoy.
